I often take pictures on my walks in the woods and along the shore. I oscillate between close-ups of mushrooms, trees, flowers and sea life, and longer views of the environment in which these creatures live. The pictures often raise questions for me and I hope for others. Photography is both a tool of engagement with the world, an instrument of discovery as well as a path to self-discovery. In my photos, human signs frequently intrude, and to me this intrusion is part of our story. How do we co-exist with others, what kind of world do we want to make for ourselves, how do we find joy in the changes around us?
